The Inbetweeners star James Buckley accidentally leaks Jay detail for new Netflix movie

The Inbetweeners 3 was finally confirmed last week, with the announcement revealing that the third film was not only being made by Netflix rather than Channel 4, but that filming for it had already begun.

Jay actor James Buckley is well-known for recording paid messages for fans on Cameo, and he's continued to do so from the set of the new film. But in doing so, he might have given away a bit of a spoiler.

We don't really know anything about the plot of the film or what the lads are up to nowadays, but thanks to Buckley's new video message, we might know what Jay is doing with himself nowadays.

In the video, Buckley is seen wearing a yellow jacket with a badge saying 'Cartwright Plant' on it, and at one point seems to notice the badge is in the frame and opens his jacket so it isn't seen again.

In the show, Jay's dad was the owner of a construction company, so it's not a huge stretch to think he's ended up working for his dad. It's a bigger stretch to think he's taken over the business or started his own (it's definitely something he'd tell everyone he's done, though).

Plenty of fans on Reddit took the chance to reference one of Jay's tall tales from the show, where he bragged about how, when he worked for his dad, he spent all summer jumping JCBs over cement mixers and made a grand a week.

Multiple people also pointed out that Buckley nowadays resembles Tim Roth. Could there be a joke about that in the film?

The show's creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are writing and directing the third movie.

When it was announced they said: "It's been super-fun hanging out with our friends again, and we're going to work hard every week to ensure there are no problemos making this new film for humans."

The Inbetweeners 3 does not yet have a release date.
