Two critically injured after car ploughs into crowd of Newcastle Knights supporters
NSW Ambulance has confirmed several people have been injured as a result of a car hitting a crowd of people in Newcastle this morning.
Emergency services were called to Newcastle Link Road, at Wallsend, about 9:30am.
It is believed the crowd of supporters had gathered as part of a Newcastle Knights pre-grand final farewell to the team.
Paramedics and police are at the scene with 10 ambulances and 3 helicopters treating a number of people.
