ESPN announcer loses track as UC Bearcats seal win vs Miami RedHawks
ESPN+ play-by-play announcer Pete Sousa had a puzzling call of the fumble recovery that sealed the Cincinnati Bearcats' win against the Miami RedHawks in the Battle for the Victory Bell.
The Bearcats led 35-31 with the RedHawks driving with 43 seconds left in the game when Miami quarterback David McComb fumbled as he was sacked by Antwan Peek Jr. for a loss of 1 yard at the Bearcats' 34-yard line.

When Drew Logan recovered the fumble, Sousa said, "We're going to play for overtime," followed by "oh no we're not, Bearcats win."

The Bearcats, of course, clinched the come-from-behind win with the recovery. UC outscored MU 28-3 in the second half.

Earlier in the second half, the RedHawks had a costly error on a field-goal attempt, prompting analyst Leger Douzable to say he'd never seen a holder lose the ball as he did in all of his years of watching football.
