Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has further relaxed the curfew imposed on Lamurde Local Government Area from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

‎
‎The development was contained in a statement on Friday in Yola by Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.‎
‎
According to the statement, the review followed reports of sustained calm and improved security in the area after the recent crisis.

‎
‎Fintiri said movement is now unrestricted during the day, while the curfew will be observed daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

‎
‎”The curfew relaxation followed cooperation of affected residents and efforts by Security Agencies.
‎

‎”However, Government would not condone any attempt to disrupt the peace achieved so far,” Fintiri warned.

‎
‎He said security operatives had been directed to remain vigilant and ensure strict compliance with the curfew.

‎
‎The governor who reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, called on traditional rulers and relevant stakeholders in the community to sustain peace and embrace dialogue in resolving differences.
‎

‎”Adamawa remains known for tolerance and unity; I therefore urged stakeholders to preserve the reputation,” Fintiri maintained.

‎
‎The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that two communities in the area were involved in repeated clashes over land dispute.(NAN)
