'Edge of the seat' Australian crime thriller with Tim Roth will stream in the UK on ITV

Last King of the Cross, the Australian crime thriller starring Tim Roth, has landed a new streaming home in the UK. Following a deal with distributor Cineflix Rights, the first two seasons will be available to stream for free on ITVX from 1st November.
Inspired by the best-selling autobiography of nightclub mogul John Ibrahim, Last King of the Cross stars former Home and Away actor Lincoln Younes in the lead role as John, following him as he becomes one of Australia’s biggest nightclub tycoons in Sydney’s Kings Cross area.
The synopsis reads: "Set in Sydney’s criminal underworld, the show concentrates on the relationship between John (Younes) and his older brother, Sam (Claude).

"Raised in the blood of the Lebanese Civil War, the two boys enter the underworld of Kings Cross and quickly make a name for themselves.
"One possesses incredible smarts and invention, whilst the other provides muscle and intimidation. Together, they are unstoppable, and in his late teens John buys his first nightclub.
"Just as John is establishing himself, the cocaine wave sweeps Sydney like a virus. The rivers of money begin to flow in different directions, loyalties are questioned, and the delicate ecosystem of Kings Cross is spun into chaos."
According to the description, John and his brother attempt to seize control of Kings Cross from the reigning King, Ezra Shipman, played by Roth, while battling various outlaws and a corrupt police force.
Season one of Last King of the Cross debuted on Paramount+ on 17 February 2023 and became the streamer’s most-watched Australian series. The second season premiered on 30 August 2024.

On IMDb, Last King of the Cross has a user rating of 7.4 out of 10, with one user writing: "First two eps were slow. However, the following eps [have] been a rollercoaster ride keeping me on the edge of my seat."
"Always nice to see someone like Tim Roth on board adding that extra touch of Hollywood to the whole thing," penned another.
One person said: "Overall, it's a pretty good show so far, something different to watch. I would recommend watching this show and giving it a try even if you think it's not going to be interesting."
Last King of The Cross will stream on ITVX from 1 November.
