Today’s Papers – Inter’s derby nightmare goes on, Moreira the king of Milan
Milan’s 3-1 derby win over Inter dominates the Italian sports papers, while Roma’s rout at Udinese, Juventus-Napoli and Kimi Antonelli’s bid for the Formula 1 world title fill the rest.

“Estasi Milan” – “Milan ecstasy”
The pink paper says the derby “remains a nightmare for Inter”. Diego Moreira was “the king” with two assists and a goal, while Cristian Chivu was caught short by injuries and is “failed” by the paper. Rúben Amorim “dominates”, and Gerry Cardinale was in tears: “Incredible.” Inter started with Marcus Thuram as their only striker, and Lazio can now go top on their own today.

Under “Runjaic on the brink”, Roma move to within a point of the top as “a rampant Gasp tears Udinese to pieces”, with Donyell Malen pictured.
Before Juventus-Napoli tonight at 20:45 CET [19:45 GMT], the paper says Luciano Spalletti and Massimiliano Allegri were “never friends” and that both fear dropping out of the race.

“Stramorim”
The Rome paper calls it a “derby shock” for the champions: “Inter collapse”, and Lazio can go three points clear today. “Ruben dismantles Chivu, Moreira plays like a phenomenon.” The Belgian set up goals for Christian Pulisic and Rabiot inside the first 10 minutes. Alessandro Bastoni’s goal gave Inter hope, Mike Maignan was a “wall”, and Moreira then scored a free kick. Milan move to within four points of the top, and Alberto Polverosi’s column criticises Inter’s “wrong approach”.

“Roma esagerata” – “Over-the-top Roma”
Roma won 5-2 at Udinese, with four goals in the first 37 minutes from Bryan Cristante, Rodrigo Mora, Malen and Evan Ndicka. Matías Soulé and Malen both hit the woodwork, Nicolò Zaniolo and Palma pulled two back, and Ghilardi made it five. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are now a point behind Inter and Lazio before Manchester United visit on Tuesday. United lost 2-0 at Chelsea yesterday.
On Juventus-Napoli, Spalletti is “at a crossroads”, and Allegri said: “They’re being written off as dead, I don’t believe it.” The paper’s line is that “Max becomes Lucio’s judge”.

“Indiavolati” – a play on “indiavolato” (“possessed”) and Milan’s “Diavolo” nickname
The Turin paper says “Milan are unstoppable, Inter see witches”. It was Moreira’s night: an assist each for Pulisic and Rabiot, then “the magic” of a free kick after Bastoni’s goal. Amorim produced a “masterpiece”, while Chivu couldn’t manage a comeback this time. It was Inter’s first league defeat, and Lazio can pull clear today. Chivu explained his line-up: “Only Thuram up front? Pio and Bonny had a fever, I had to improvise.” Inter’s derby nightmare goes on, as it’s now eight without a win.

“Questione di rispetto” – “A question of respect”
Juventus are being called on for “a show of dignity” against Napoli tonight, on the club’s 129th birthday. “Yes, we need to win back the respect that’s been taken from us,” Spalletti said. Allegri warned: “Careful, they’re not dead.”
Under “Gasp beats the 5!”, the paper says Runjaic has reached “the end of the line”: Udinese have lost seven of their last eight, and a change of coach is coming.
Raffaele Palladino has won three in a row as Bologna climb. Before Torino’s trip to Frosinone, Giovanni Simeone says: “Humble and united to win.” Tuttosport points out that Frosinone have made the best start of any newly promoted side, on a wage bill less than half of Torino’s.
