Oregon's threads for USC trip headline best uniforms of Week 4

The college football season keeps rolling along -- and so do the weekly uniforms.

Few things in life or sports are as consistent as Oregon football taking the field weekly in clean and memorable uniform combinations. Week 4 will be no exception, as the Ducks have a distinctive set of threads lined up for a trip down the Pacific coast to face off against USC at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

At a base level it's an all-white set for Oregon this week, but it's the details that make the uniform really pop. Notably, a steel gray pattern encircles the jersey's shoulders, while the helmet catches eyes with a stainless steel shell and reflective duck wing emblem on either side.

Oregon isn't the only squad rolling out fresh threads for this weekend's games. Here are all the top uniforms for Week 4 in college football.

UTSA

Details are key in UTSA's helmets for the team's Hispanic Heritage Game against Colorado State, which take up a City Connect-style theme.

The Roadrunners will wear a standard blue-orange-and-white jersey-pants combination this Saturday, but there's nothing standard about their lids. The helmets contain confetti details and all sorts of color splashes, most prominently on a center stripe that features spots of pink, teal, yellow and orange. Nods to UTSA's home city are also front and center, literally in the form of a "210" area code on the front of the helmet and a "San Antonio" wordmark on one side.

Washington

Fresh off a summer unveiling, Washington will debut a new set of all-black uniforms this weekend against Minnesota.

Despite a black-on-black theme, the threads contain nods to the Huskies' traditional purple and gold color scheme as well -- most notably via a golden "DAWGS" wordmark on the front of the jerseys as well as a purple-gold-purple stripe pattern that runs down the center of the helmet and across the jersey's shoulders.

Baylor

It's never a bad time to roll with a throwback uniform, which is the route Baylor is going with its threads for this weekend.

The Bears will be paying homage to the program's days under the tutelage of former coach Grant Teaff, particularly the "bear paw" uniforms of the 1980s and '90s. Baylor's modern remake of that look features the bear paw on each shoulder, as well as a helmet with 10 stars on either side of a center stripe. Having the 10 stars is another nod to Teaff, who introduced star decals to the school's helmets, led the program to its first 10-win season and beat Texas 10 times.

Iowa State

If it's color you seek, Ames is not the place for you to be this weekend. Iowa State is going all-in on simplicity with its Week 4 look.

It's a whiteout for the Cyclones, but what really makes the all-white theme pop is the absence of certain colors in the combination -- the school's usual red or yellow shades are nowhere to be found. It's white base, black details and accents all the way through.

Washington State

It's a stripe-out game for Washington State on Saturday, and the Cougars' uniform choice is accordingly staying on theme by mixing red and gray equally.

Gray pants, red jerseys and a gray helmet with a red "Cougars" wordmark combine to create an effective look that balances the two colors you'll be seeing in the stands in Pullman on Saturday night.
