Star-studded drama branded an "instant classic" and "utterly amazing" is streaming now on ITV

A fantasy drama starring Andie MacDowell and Grey's Anatomy's Chyler Leigh has become available to stream on ITV in the UK.
Titled The Way Home, the 2023 Hallmark Channel series is a cross-generational, feel-good time-travel adventure for three women of the Landry family. The show kicks off with Katherine (Leigh) losing her job as her teenage daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) is kicked out of school.
Left with little choice, Katherine moves back in with her mum Delilah 'Del', played by MacDowell. An imminent divorce for her parents sends Alice into desperation as she runs away from home, but finds herself inexplicably able to travel through time, meeting a younger version of her mum.

The series originally ran for four seasons, airing between 2023 and 2026 on the Hallmark Channel in the US. It is now available this side of the pond on ITV, where all 40 episodes are streaming now.
Season 1 of The Way Home boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on five reviews, with critics celebrating the strong performances from the central trio.
"The Way Home is an instant classic, an unexpected delight ushering in a welcome new era for Hallmark Channel series programming," TV Fanatic wrote in their review.
Elsewhere, Decider wrote: "Solid performances, a pretty well-thought-out time travel concept, and an avoidance of schmaltz make The Way Home a good show to watch with your family."

On IMDb, a fan branded the series "utterly amazing" and noted it steers clear of Hallmark clichés.
"While I love [Hallmark] movies, they are often very predictable. This show is the farthest from that!" they wrote.
Another viewer praised the "really good plot with a bit of mystery", while a third fan described the series as "surprising in a good way".
