Thanks to the release of the “Encore” edition, a deluxe set introducing the tracks “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon” and “Cleveland!,” The Life Of A Showgirl (via Republic/Universal) powers 23-1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

With its return to the chart spotlight, Showgirl makes a notable impression on the ARIA Singles Chart, too, with “Patient Zero” debuting at No. 1 for a TayTay chart double. In the process, Swift dethrones Ella Langley’s four-time platinum country smash “Choosin’ Texas” (Sony), down 1-2. Close behind is Swift’s “Cleveland!” (at No. 3), “Babylon” (No. 4) and “Pink Clouding” (No. 5), and Showgirl’s lead single “The Fate of Ophelia” bounces 14-10 (“Ophelia” logged six weeks at No. 1 in October and November). Swift has now accumulated 69 top 10 hits on the ARIA Singles Chart, the charts compiler reports.

“Patient Zero” is her second leader this year in Australia, after “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 logged one week at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart in June. Across her career, Swift has accumulated more than 70 weeks on top of the national albums survey, dating back to 2010 with Speak Now, which spent one week at the top.

The top new album release belongs to Australian singer and songwriter Julia Jacklin, whose fourth and latest LP The Gem (Remote Control Records) sparkles at No. 5. It’s the best-seller for the week on vinyl, and her third top 10 appearance on the all-genres ARIA Chart after 2019’s Crushing (No. 8) and 2022’s Pre Pleasure (No. 2).

U.S. singer, songwriter and social media personality Nessa Barrett makes her first ARIA Chart appearance with Tough Love (Warner), her third studio album. It’s new at No. 7.

Meanwhile, Nothing But Thieves’ Stray Dogs (RCA/Sony) goes walkies into the top 10. The British rock band’s fifth album debuts at No. 9 on the ARIA Chart, published Friday, Oct. 2.

Tinashe also enjoys a top tier entry with Popular (Atlantic/Warner), new at No. 10. It’s the U.S. artist’s eighth studio album and her first time in the ARIA Top 50.

Further down the frame are new arrivals from U.S. singer-songwriter Leon Bridges (Happiness Anytime at No. 12 via Columbia/Sony), Australian pop veteran Shannon Noll (The Road In Front Of Me at No. 14), New Zealand heavy rockers Banks Arcade (Second Place Superstar at No. 26 via FHI), nu-metal favorites Linkin Park (Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live In Sao Paulo) at No. 37 via Warner), Danish artist Agnes Obel (The Meaning of Flowers at No. 43 via Deutsche Grammophon/Universal) and U.S. singer and songwriter Max McNown (Leave On A Light at No. 49 via Orchard).
