India’s top men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty suffered an opening-round exit at the Denmark Open 2026 after losing 21-12, 15-21, 19-21 to China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu on Wednesday.

The Indian duo made a strong start, taking the opening game 21-12, but the Chinese pair fought back to claim the second 21-15 before edging a closely contested decider 21-19 to advance to the round of 16.

The defeat came just over a month after Satwik and Chirag had beaten the same Chinese pair 11-21, 21-13, 21-17 in the China Masters final in September to clinch the Super 750 title.
