King Charles and Queen Camilla caught in heavy rain during Antigua celebrations

Translate

King Charles III and Queen Camilla were caught in heavy rain as they attended Independence Day celebrations in Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday, November 1.

The royal couple sat alongside Prime Minister Gaston Browne at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, where they were greeted by Governor-General Rodney Williams ahead of a ceremony recognising citizens for their contributions to national development.

The visit coincides with Antigua and Barbuda hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from November 1 to 4, bringing leaders together to discuss investment, development and international cooperation.

The Caribbean nation gained independence from Britain on November 1, 1981.
