Translate

Two people have died and one injured following a three-car crash in Suffolk Park on NSW’s Mid North Coast on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Broken Head Road near Byron Bay at 10.30am where they found the driver of a vehicle, believed to be a woman aged in her 50s, and the driver of a second vehicle, a man believed to be in his 60s, had died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified.

A woman in her 60s who was a passenger in the second vehicle was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The occupants of a third vehicle were uninjured.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident, with the public urged to avoid the area. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
