MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The City of San Fernando’s Inter-Agency Lawful Business Operations Coordination Task Force (IALBOCTF) shut down an animal crematorium in Barangay Panipuan for lack of a business permit.

In a statement on Thursday evening,  the San Fernando City Hall said its IALBOCTF inspected the Holistic Animal Doctor Crematorium on November 3.

While the animal crematorium’s management showed a permit to operate from the Environmental Management Bureau, it did not have a business permit from the city government.

(The City Health Office also identified deficiencies in sanitary permits, ventilation in the room used for cleaning animal remains, and the required health certificates and personal protective equipment for the staff.)

The city government said it has ordered the animal crematorium to cease operations.

It was also found during the inspection that the crematorium had allegedly failed to pinpoint a mass burial site.

“Sa pagsusuri sa Holistic Animal Doctor Crematorium, natuklasang may dalawang cremation machines ang pasilidad, bagama’t isa lamang ang nakadeklara sa mga dokumentong ipinakita,” the city government added.
