Marvel's Wolverine sales numbers: How many copies has it sold?

After years of delays, and an initially tepid reception, Marvel's Wolverine is out now, but how many copies has it sold?
The game has sparked some mixed feelings – some think it's too easy, while others are having a blast.
Regardless, it looks like any controversy hasn’t harmed its sales! Here's what we know so far about the Marvel's Wolverine sales figures.
At the time of writing, Marvel's Wolverine has reportedly sold an estimated 1.9 million copies.
This data comes from Alinea Analytics, whose head of market analysis Rhys Elliott took to social media to explain the situation.
The 1.9m sales estimate comes from three days after launch, and accounts for roughly $130m in revenue.
Roughly 1m of those sales were pre-launch digital pre-orders, with 22.9 per cent of the total sales being physical copies.

He confirms that these numbers mean Wolverine is already the top-performing PlayStation Studios game on PS5 this year, eclipsing the sales and revenue of MLB The Show, Marathon, Saros and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
It's also already overtaken the lifetime PS5 sales of Death Stranding 2, which has sold roughly 1.8m copies for a revenue of ~$129m.
He does however note that, in comparison to Insomniac's Spider-Man games which reviewed well and have had a long tail, Wolverine's mixed reception means it may have a comparatively much lower sales ceiling.
But that being said, it feels safe to assume that sales will have breached the 2m mark by now, and with Christmas coming up, and future sales on the horizon, Wolverine will no doubt continue to sell copies for years to come.
