Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis pokes fun at former colleagues after being killed off

Former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis has poked fun at her former co-stars in a cheeky new interview, revealing how she used to compare herself and her fellow colleagues to the people who worked on Coronation Street.
Hollis played Ali Spencer in Emmerdale between 2011 and 2015, and has also appeared in Shameless, Ackley Bridge, and even Corrie itself at the moment.
Appearing on the Plane Comedy podcast, Hollis joked: "I've always said, when we used to go to dos and stuff — I shouldn't really say that 'coz I've just done a touch on Corrie — but I always used to say at dos: Corrie are like the posh snobby aunty at a wedding and then Emmerdale's your council estate scuffers that have rocked up and are gonna cause shit at the wedding.

"That's always like the vibe. I'm not saying that's what they... that's like, the energy.
"They're gonna have to cut that. F**k it, I'm not going back, I'm dead!"
The actor also reminisced on her exit where Ali couldn't live without her wife Ruby, who was killed in a dramatic helicopter crash. She stated: "I boogered off to Liverpool. Died 18 month later."
In real life after her exit, Hollis was "living me best life in Ibiza" and when her her final scenes aired, she thought "Oooh I better watch Emmerdale" and ended up "balling me eyes out".

Dan Spencer actor Liam Fox also appeared on the podcast, and revealed that he's doing a video game at the moment. He explained that it's about "six months work" and involves both motion capture in a studio and voice acting at home, but couldn't say what game it is.
He added that he'd do any job in-between acting roles, even driving a taxi, as he believed that "You don't want to go into an audition thinking, 'Oh, I need the money for this job' because they'll see desperation and if you need to pay your mortgage with it, you're probably not going to get the job."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
