It’s Official: Alex Cooper Moves to CAA

Translate

Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper has officially signed with CAA.

The deal also includes representation for Cooper’s husband Matt Kaplan, and their media and entertainment company Unwell, which includes Cooper’s top-charting podcast, as well as live events and a film and TV production arm. The news comes after Cooper departed UTA in August, with CAA rumored as the likely next stop.

Cooper’s parting came after she announced an investment from WTSL, the Silver Lake-backed firm led by Patrick Whitesell, that valued her Unwell media company at $500 million, with the move to a new agency being positioned as a way to further grow her business outside of just podcasting.

At the same time, the company was being hit with negative headlines after Bloomberg and Vanity Fair both reported claims about staff turnover and uneasiness among the staff, particularly due to the behavior of Kaplan.

In addition to Call Her Daddy and a larger podcast slate, including Pretty Lonesome (Madeline Argy), Unwell has a film and television slate including Hulu’s Call Her Alex documentary, The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special and Netflix’s Let’s Marry Harry. Upcoming projects include Netflix’s adaptation of Hannah Grace’s bestselling novel Icebreak, the feature adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s novel Deep End, produced alongside Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps; and You Deserve To Know a drama series in development at Hulu starring Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley.

The Unwell Network has also launched its own original competition series Unwell Winter Games and Unwell Summer Games on YouTube.

In 2026, the company launched Unwell Agency, an in-house advertising and creative agency developing branded entertainment, original content, and talent-led campaigns, which has secured partnerships with major brands including Google and Sephora.
