Netflix Shocker: Bela Bajaria Leaving After 10 Years Amid Layoffs

In a major executive shakeup, Bela Bajaria is out at Netflix after 10 years at the streamer, most recently serving as its chief content officer.
She’s expected to be replaced by former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice, as first reported by Puck.
Bajaria’s exit comes amid a significant workforce reduction at Netflix. Around 1,000 employees (6% of the company) were laid off this week in what marks the company’s largest axing to date. Netflix‘s film VP Doug Belgrad and film director Sheroum Kim were also pink slipped as part of the restructuring.
