BBC's "heart-pumping" horror series with "brilliant cast" is streaming now in time for Halloween

A horror series with "brilliant cast" is now streaming on BBC iPlayer in the run up to Halloween. Created and written by Claire Aza-Selinger, Wolf Bay is a short form horror series focusing on a ferry journey that goes horribly wrong.
The series follows Angus (Andrew MacInnes) as he returns back to North Uist in Scotland for his grandfather's funeral. To make things even worse, he bumps into his ex-girlfriend Màiri (Ellen Macdonald) who is also travelling on the same ferry with her fiancé Colin, (Alasdair Jordan) and her mother Margaret (Elspeth Turner).
However, when the ferry enters 'Wolf's Bay', an mysterious, evil force prowls the deck and horrifying discoveries are made, forcing Angus to reckon with his past.

Alongside Aza-Selinger, Maureen Macleod also co-wrote Wolf Bay, with the directors including Alasdair MacLean and Parker Dawes. The series is being produced by Storyboard Studios and is co-funded MG ALBA, BBC Scotland and Screen Scotland.
The show consists of ten episodes that "move at a heart-pumping pace - delivering smart jump scares, breathless cliffhangers, deadpan humour, and a love story that will touch the coldest heart" (via the BBC).
Natalie Humphreys, Executive Producer for Storyboard Studios said: "Back when we first started developing this, we knew there was something really special and different about the material.
"Then we were lucky to have the most brilliant cast and crew join. The whole team on and off screen has put heart and soul into it and we’re excited to share it with audiences."
Meanwhile, Bill Macleod, Commissioning Editor for MG ALBA, described Wolf Bay as "one of the wittiest and most distinctive ideas to have ever come my way – a whip-smart series that combines sly satire and open-hearted charm", adding: "This is a horror series you’ll want to wolf down!”

And Gavin Smith, Commissioning Editor for BBC Scotland said: "We’re delighted to have joined forces with BBC ALBA to go on this wild wolf ride aboard a stricken ferry.
"Claire and Maureen have written a sensational series of short form episodes that are frightening and funny in equal measure. Wolf Bay is part of BBC Scotland’s strategy to grow our digital first content and we’re sure audiences are up for a bit of horror!"
Wolf Bay is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and BBC ALBA YouTube channel.
