Hollyoaks teen Dee-Dee to face turmoil as disturbing Abigail story continues

Translate

Abigail Matthews' continued grooming of Dee-Dee Hutchinson leaves the teen in a tumultuous position in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes. Dee-Dee's teacher and former drugs counsellor has been grooming the teen, isolating her from her loved ones and employing increasingly manipulative tactics against her following the death of Dee-Dee's mum, Diane.

Recently, Abigail has been pretending that Dee-Dee's grades are slipping so they can have time alone together after admitting they have feelings for each other.

In scenes set to air next week, Abigail reassures Dee-Dee's dad Tony that she will give his daughter extra tuition to get her grades up.

During the tuition session, Abigail and Dee-Dee plan their first date - going to a play in Manchester that same night.

Dee-Dee spends time with her friend Kathleen-Angel, and they can both sense that the other is hiding something. But will they confide their secrets?

As their date looms, Abigail fears that Dee-Dee isn't being careful enough to keep their budding relationship a secret and doesn't want to risk picking her up.

But Dee-Dee doesn't have the money to pay for public transport to Manchester, and desperate to go on the date, she steals from Tony to afford the trip.

The next day, Dee-Dee's family fear she might have relapsed the night prior, yet have no idea the danger the teen is actually in.

Dee-Dee's brother Ant turns aggressive when he finds out that Dee-Dee has been drinking, and she lashes out in return.

Later in the week, Dee-Dee lies to Tony. Will the family ever find out the real reason for her strange behaviour?

"Abigail's behaviour is having a huge knock-on effect for Dee-Dee, who's having to lie to cover their tracks and explain her absences," our insider tells us.

"Ant's outbursts threaten to make things worse, as Dee-Dee will surely feel like she can't confide in those closest to her. It may be a long way off before anyone realises something is amiss..."

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
