The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit has arrested and formally charged a 19-year-old British national, Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, over the alleged possession and trafficking of 23.4 kilogrammes of cocaine.

The police disclosed this in a statement shared on its Facebook page on Friday.

Oduola, who resides in Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom, was arrested over offences allegedly committed on September 29, 2026.

The statement read, “The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, 19 years of #145 Valance Wood Road, Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom for the following offences committed on September 29th 2026: possession of cocaine, trafficking of cocaine, intent to supply cocaine, attempting to export cocaine.”

The police said the suspected cocaine weighed 23.4kg and had an estimated street value of $1.17m in Barbados currency.

The statement added, “The weight of the suspected Cocaine is 23.4kg with an estimated street value of one million, one hundred and seventy thousand dollars ($1,170,000.00) Barbados currency.”
