KUALA LUMPUR: A young boy has won hearts online after he was seen guiding a blind elderly man at Maluri LRT station, helping him navigate the station safely.

Threads user @syifanadine92 shared the moment, praising the boy's kindness.

"May all the goodness you give find its way back to you, kind soul," the user wrote.

The post drew warm responses from other users, many of whom shared similar experiences of helping visually impaired people in public.

One user, @careyryan_, recounted helping a blind man exit an MRT station despite being late for a train.

"Although I was late for my train, I helped the man exit the station.

"As I went down the escalator, another man, whom I believe was a doctor, chased after me, tapped me on the shoulder and thanked me for helping before running back upstairs.

"It really made my day," the user wrote.

Another user, @ieya.az, praised the gesture, writing: "Such a beautiful soul. May he always be blessed!"

Meanwhile, @hi_mayahhhhh said they had witnessed a similar scene at Pasar Seni LRT station, where a young man helped a blind elderly man by asking him to place his hand on his shoulder as they chatted.

"May the goodness in your heart lead you to beautiful things," the user wrote.

Another user, @panadol_cat_, said people in their neighbourhood often helped blind residents cross roads, including those who walked about 20 minutes to reach the MRT station.
