Bon Iver Announce 10th Anniversary Edition of 22, A Million

Bon Iver has announced a 10th anniversary edition of 22, A Million, the 2016 album that saw the Justin Vernon-led project turn more experimental.

22, A Million (10th Anniversary Edition) comes out November 20th via Jagjaguwar Records. A CD edition will feature new artwork as part of a 12-panel “inverted cross” package. The LP edition comes with frosted silver vinyl, alternative cover artwork, the original 28-page lyric booklet, presented in silver inks, in addition to a new 12-page, full-color inlay booklet documenting 22, A Million’s creative process, and exploring the albums symbolism in previously unseen artwork and an essay written by its visual artist, Eric Timothy Carlson. The original version of the album was primarily recorded and produced at Justin Vernon’s April Base studio in Wisconsin, with some tracking completed in London and near Lisbon. “22, A Million was formed at the congruence of friends old and new, turning hundreds of hours of improvisations, proto-melodies, vague textures and specific moods into something bold, delicate and now unmistakable,” a press release notes. “It’s an album about holding on to what’s important and making sense of the events that rip us apart. More than anything, however, it’s an album about the power of human connection through music.”

Bon Iver’s latest release came in April with VOLUMES: ONE “SELECTIONS FROM MUSIC CONCERTS 2019-2023 BON IVER 6 PIECE BAND.” The group’s last proper studio album was 2025’s Sable Fable. Vernon also recently put out a jingle for Meatloaf Dippers.
