Lycoris Recoil Manga Ends in 2 Chapters
The October issue of Kadokawa's Comic Flapper Magazine announced on September 4 that artist Yasunori Bizen and writer Spider Lily's Lycoris Recoil manga adaptation will end in two chapters.
Yen Press publishes the manga and light novels in English and describes the story:
Japan—a nation where vicious crime and terror have been all but eliminated. And who keeps the peace? Cute schoolgirls, of course! Those uniformed youths you see on street corners and in stylish cafés may just be agents of Lycoris, with pistols in their purses and missions on their minds…
Bizen and Spider Lily launched the manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Comic Flapper magazine in September 2022. Kadokawa shipped the ninth compiled book volume on August 21. Yen Press shipped the fifth volume of the manga on June 23.
Asaura's Lycoris Recoil: Ordinary Days spinoff novel reached over 250,000 copies in circulation in 2022. The spinoff novel depicts the "not-so-common daily life" of Chisato, Takina, and the others at Café LycoReco.
Lycoris Recoil premiered in July 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and it also streamed an English dub. The anime also aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block in January 2024.
The television anime was Shingo Adachi's directorial debut. Before this anime, Adachi was the character designer and chief animation director for Sword Art Online and Wagnaria!! (Working!!). Imigimuru (This Art Club Has a Problem!) designed the television anime, and A-1 Pictures produced the project. Ben-To author Asaura drafted the story. Kimika Onai (Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46 outfits) designed the characters' uniforms.
Lycoris Recoil: Friends are thieves of time., six Lycoris Recoil anime short films, streamed on Aniplex's YouTube channel and on Crunchyroll in April 2025.
