India will be looking to secure its second gold medal in women’s hockey by defeating China in the gold medal match at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya.

If it does so, it will end a 44-year long wait for a second gold medal stretching back to the first edition of the event conducted in 1982 in New Delhi.
