EXCLUSIVE: Tradition Pictures, the independent production company founded by CEO Matthew Einstein, is setting a multi-project collaboration in TV with Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr.’s banner Artists for Artists.

The company is also forming a new advisory board which includes veteran producer and former studio executive Mark Canton, Big Time Rush star James Maslow and Power franchise actor, director and executive producer Joseph Sikora.

Tradition’s collaboration with SNL star Thompson’s Artists for Artists is planned as a multi-project slate, but project details remain under wraps.

The company has also entered joint ventures with Echobend for production services and Finesse for post-production, with editors Alexis Evelyn and Adam R. Wood.

Additional partnerships include a docuseries collaboration with Stephen Neely’s Agents of Change, whose credits include Good Night Oppy, Spector and Hip Hop Uncovered, as well as an IP partnership with Daniele Bolelli’s History on Fire.

“This is the moment where Tradition scales with new partners, a deeper executive roster, and a slate that spans genre and medium. We built the company to move fast on meaningful material, and these relationships let us do that at a larger scale without losing the specificity that got us here. We’ve got more exciting news that we’re looking forward to sharing,” said Einstein.

Batra added: “As automation transforms the world, there is real joy in backing what remains distinctly human: creativity, storytelling, and the fun stuff. While some pursuits are their own reward, we’re glad to have built strong partnerships and assembled a talented team to bring substantive ideas from concept to completion.”

Founded in 2015, Tradition has produced film and TV projects across scripted, documentary and unscripted formats, including The Mental State, Heval and A Class of Her Own. Among recently completed projects are To Kill a Nazi, narrated by Jason Alexander, and the company was an executive-producer on Elvis, Rocky and Me: The Carol Connors Story, which world premiered at the Palm Springs in January. First Person, starring Valene Kane, Odessa Young and Jazzy De Lisser, secured distribution with Buffalo 8 and was released last month.

Tradition’s executive team is led by Einstein alongside President Neal Batra, an entertainment attorney, angel investor and entrepreneur. Alex Rotaru serves as Development and Acquisitions Executive; Fred Richter, whose credits include Creed III, Winning Time and Barry, serves as Acquisitions Consultant; Brian Hightman serves as Strategic Consultant; and Brandon Russell is Creative Coordinator.
