Report: Juventus want Bernasconi-Cabal swap with Atalanta
According to Wednesday’s reports from Il Giorno (via Calciomercato.it), Bernasconi has become one of Juventus’s ‘top targets’ ahead of the next transfer session, which is expected to open a few days earlier than usual on December 28.
The Bianconeri are reportedly willing to invest around €20m-€25m on the signing of the 22-year-old Atalanta wing-back, who is also capable of covering in midfield and on the left of a back three if required.

According to Wednesday’s report, Juventus will also seek to include Juan Cabal in negotiations with Atalanta. La Dea had explored a move for the Colombian full-back right at the end of the summer transfer window, but a deal did not go through before the September 1 deadline.
Bernasconi joined Atalanta from Cremonese as a youth player and earned his first opportunities in the first team in 2025-26 making a total of 23 appearances during his first season in Serie A. He has appeared another five times in 2026-27: Three times in Serie A and twice in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Reports over the last week claim that Juventus are hoping to add several more Italian talents to their squad during the next few transfer windows, including the likes of Alessandro Romano, Cher Ndour and Issa Doumbia. Lorenzo Palmisani and Giovanni Leoni have also been linked over the last few days.
For the first time in their Serie A history, the Old Lady fielded a team that featured no Italian outfielders for their two most recent matches before the international break.
