King Charles's cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten walks daughter Ella down the aisle - and tells of 'emotional couple of days'

Lord Ivar Mountbatten is such a fan of matrimony that he exchanged vows twice – first with Penny Eastwood in 1994; secondly, with James Coyle, an air cabin services director, in 2018.
In doing so, he made history, becoming the first member of the extended Royal Family to enter into a same-sex union.
Now Lord Ivar has proudly walked his daughter Ella, 30, an events manager, down the aisle at St Luke's, Milland, in West Sussex, to marry Fergus Wright, who works in insurance.
Prince Edward and Sophie were among the guests.
Lord Ivar, 63, a great-nephew of the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, says: 'It's been such a fun and emotional couple of days, but boy I'm glad it's all over; the last month has been non-stop.'
Ella tells me: 'It was epic.'
Lord Ivar, the cousin of King Charles, shared the happy news of the engagement back in July 2025.
He wrote on Instagram: 'I couldn't be happier to announce the engagement of my eldest and most precious daughter Ella to her fabulous boyfriend Fergus.'

He continued: 'Ferg is not one to be rushed, so I am incredibly pleased that he has finally put us all out of our misery!
'I know he will look after my daughter to his dying day - they couldn't be better suited. Enjoy this special time in your life.'
The father-of-three to Ella, Alix and Luli, with his ex-wife, Penny Mountbatten, signed the post off by writing: 'Much love to you both. X #happycouple #finally #1down2togo.'
In an accompanying photo, Ella beamed as she proudly displayed her emerald and diamond-encrusted ring next to her fiancé.
The previous week, Lord Ivar felt compelled to insist that he didn't miss his multi-million-pound country estate - and he instead prefers to rent.
He put Bridwell Park, his Grade I Georgian house in mid-Devon, on the market for £5.5million in April 2024.
The estate had been owned by his family since 1997 and Ivar lived there with his husband, James.
The pair said at the time they were putting it up for sale on a 'commercial and residential' basis and left the property in September so that the new buyers could settle in.
At the time, Ivar and James moved into a rented thatched cottage located around a quarter of a mile from the main gates of the estate.
After signing a lease, he told The Times: 'I must say, it’s lovely. When you are renting there’s no maintenance. We’re now thinking, actually, do we want the hassle of buying another property?
'My neighbour lived here and he spent a lot of money on it. It has flagstone floors, all with underfloor heating. It has zoned lighting.
It’s got wi-fi throughout the whole house. It is exceedingly comfortable, with every mod con you can possibly want — like those boiling water taps.'
