Meghan shares new footage of Lilibet and her American accent in promotional post for As Ever

Meghan Markle has shared new footage of her and daughter Lilibet making jam in a new promotional post for her As Ever business.

The footage features Meghan stirring a pot of jam on a stove while the five-year-old princess stirs what appears to be jelly in her own bowl beside her.

The video, posted to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, sees the Duchess of Sussex ask: 'What do you think Lili?'

The youngster replies in an American accent: 'I think it's beautiful.'

The clip is featured in a longer montage celebrating Meghan's As Ever brand, and comes after she announced the launch of a Christmas hamper this week.

Meghan, 45, is also seen trying to put ten raspberries in her mouth at once.

Elsewhere, dozens of jars of As Ever jam are seen on the production line, while Meghan is also filmed in a full beekeeping outfit at a hive at her and Prince Harry's former Montecito home. She also showcases a hamper with her honey inside it.

The Sussexes unexpectedly moved back to the UK over the summer with their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, in time for the start of the new school year.

Since their return, the couple have continued to appeal for their children's privacy to be respected, and only Lilibet's ginger hair and a tiny portion of her face can be seen in the video.

Accompanied by The Cranberries' Dreams as a soundtrack, pictures of Meghan as a child are shown interspersed by pictures of her own family, including one of her and Lilibet seated outside in the sun.

Another picture appears to show Meghan carrying either Archie or Lilibet, both donning wide-rimmed straw hats.

Meghan further shared a selfie with one of their dogs while in bed on a laptop as well as what appears to be a mood board with flowers, tea and fruit.

One section features the quote: 'Did I tell you to serve other people if only in a small way. There is growth and satisfaction in being part of something larger than yourself and your life will be richer for knowing this.'

Another showed: 'Behind every successful woman is herself'.

Meghan highlighted her old blog, The Tig, in the caption while reflecting on her 'entrepreneurial spirit' which saw her selling homemade scrunchies, Girl Scout cookies and lemonade as a child.

Today's video sees the Duchess reflect on the success of As Ever as she gushed she is 'so proud' and 'grateful' for how the 'brand has grown'.

Meghan Markle shared a first look at products for her lifestyle brand As Ever's Christmas collection in a newsletter to subscribers yesterday evening

The Duchess of Sussex's 'Holiday Collection' basket comes pre-filled with peppermint and lemon-and-ginger tea caddies, a trio of spreads, flower sprinkles and Meghan's scented candles

Thanking her team for their assistance, she made no direct mention of her husband Harry, 42, but did credit a 'community of love' and a 'squad of support' for 'bringing this vision to life'.

Writing on Instagram, she said: 'When I was about eight years old I started my own business making handmade scrunchies I sewed on my grandmother’s Singer sewing machine and sold for $1 a piece.

'I sold Girl Scout cookies, had lemonade stands, worked in a frozen yogurt shop and had countless other jobs. My entrepreneurial spirit was always there.

'As I shared years ago on The Tig (PS, love you ladies): “Behind every successful woman is herself” - and that’s true… but there’s more: a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team.

'As I pinch myself looking at how this brand has grown, and as we introduce our holiday collection, I feel very proud, and grateful.

'A huge thanks to my team at As Ever. So proud of what we are creating together. Thanks for helping bring this vision to life.'

Her new Christmas hamper was announced in a newsletter titled 'Merriment in the making', which teased a wicker basket with a leather As Ever tag with gold lettering.

The hamper comes pre-filled with peppermint and lemon-and-ginger tea caddies, a trio of spreads, flower sprinkles and Meghan's scented candles.

While the price is yet to be announced, an earlier version of Meghan's hosting set, which contains many of the same products, costs $155 (£117).

Meghan announced she is creating a festive range for her lifestyle business, As Ever, last week, when she opened pre-orders for a £112 chocolate advent calendar that is only available to buy in the US.

The calendar – 'inspired by her Montecito home and garden' – features a festive illustration of the £11million mansion she and Prince Harry called home for six years.

A press release declared 'every detail was considered with care, including countdown numbers hand-painted in Meghan's own penmanship using edible gold lustre.'

Flavours include strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade, plus what is described as a 'special chocolate finished with Meghan's own flower sprinkles'.

However, one British vicar who politely criticised the product has been forced to lockdown his X account after being branded a 'demon' and a 'disgrace to the cloth' by supporters – known colloquially as the Sussex Squad.

The row began when Anglican priest and London university chaplain Reverend Daniel French suggested that people could instead buy a £6 Christian advent calendar that is almost 20 times cheaper and contains Fairtrade chocolate.

The alternative he recommended also raises money for a leprosy charity and comes with a 'little booklet on the meaning of Christmas', he told his followers.

But Rev French's post sparked a backlash from members of the Sussex Squad, who branded him 'satan spawn' and 'evil', while claiming he had an 'ugly heart for a so-called Christian'.

His Protestant colleague Father Chris Phillips – whose parish is in Benhilton, south-west London – backed the priest on X, prompting a fresh wave of angry responses, to which he replied that he had 'encountered the Sussex Squad on here', adding: 'Wow.'

His defenders have said he has been 'terrorised' by 'deranged trolls' ever since, forcing him to lockdown his account. Trolls claimed he was a 'coward' for doing so.

Meghan's advent calendar announcement came only days after Buckingham Palace shared their own advent calendars, which was almost £100 cheaper, with prices starting at £25.

Other products in Meghan's 'Holiday Collection' include 'botanical confection' chocolates developed by Los Angeles brand Compartes as part of an 'ongoing collaboration' and 'The Keepsake Double-Deck Parlour Card Set' with the As Ever logo.
