Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - Indonesian police in Bali have arrested two Saudi Arabian nationals suspected of stabbing two app-based motorcycle-taxi drivers and a security guard near a hotel construction site in South Kuta, Badung District, Bali.

Bali Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Ariasandy said the incident occurred at around 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Police received a report through the 110 emergency call center at 2:49 a.m.

“Initial witness accounts indicated that three foreign nationals were removed from a nightclub by security guards for allegedly disturbing other patrons,” Ariasandy said on Wednesday.

An argument reportedly broke out outside the venue between the foreigners and several motorcycle-taxi drivers waiting nearby for ride requests.

“The altercation allegedly led to a stabbing that injured three Indonesians,” he said.

The victims, identified by the initials JKN and EBG, were motorcycle-taxi drivers, while KD was a security guard at a nearby hotel construction site.

JKN suffered a stab wound to the right side of his abdomen, while EBG and KD sustained stab wounds to the left side of their backs.

Police arrested two suspects, identified by the initials AMA, 29, and FMA, 35, both Saudi Arabian nationals.

Investigators are continuing to examine the case to establish each suspect’s alleged role and determine the full sequence of events.
