Ghana Publishing Company cuts regular gazette processing time to three weeks

Translate

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has reduced the processing time for regular gazette applications from eight weeks to three weeks following the introduction of a three-shift, 24-hour operational system.

The company's Managing Director, Nana Kwasi Boatey, said the reforms had also reduced the waiting period for premium gazette applications from one week to three days, while a new 24-hour service allows applicants to obtain their gazette publications in less than a day.

Addressing the Government Accountability Series at Jubilee House on Monday, November 2, Mr Boatey explained that the changes were part of management's efforts to improve customer satisfaction, maximise revenue and make better use of the company's workforce and production facilities.

He said the introduction of round-the-clock operations had transformed the company's service delivery and enabled it to respond more effectively to growing demand from individuals, businesses and public institutions.

"These changes in gazette waiting time afforded the company an opportunity to maximise revenue through customer satisfaction and effective delivery services," he said.

He added that the system had also improved the company's ability to undertake urgent government printing assignments and deliver them within demanding timelines.
