Real Madrid Demand Resignation Of La Liga President Over Nazi Comparison
Real Madrid have officially demanded the immediate resignation of LaLiga President Javier Tebas after he compared the club’s management and media output to the propaganda methods used by Nazi Germany.
The explosive escalation in tensions began on Friday when Tebas took to social media to lash out at articles published in the El Debate newspaper, which alleged that he and LaLiga were acting against Real Madrid’s interests.

Tebas claimed the journalists were amplifying messaging orchestrated by the club, specifically targeting Real Madrid TV’s ongoing criticism of refereeing decisions in Spanish football.
“Their score is always the same: select the plays that suit them, repeat the grievance, feed the suspicion, and point fingers at the enemies,” Tebas wrote.
“That method recalls propaganda mechanisms used by Goebbels, Nazi Germany’s Minister of Propaganda. The comparison is with those propaganda techniques, not with an ideology or, of course, with the Madridista fanbase.”
The inflammatory remarks have blown open an already bitter feud between Spain’s most successful club and the league’s chief. Back in September, Real Madrid called for a change in LaLiga’s leadership after Tebas dismissed their grievances regarding officiating as a “smokescreen” for on-pitch shortcomings.
In response to Tebas’s latest comments, Real Madrid released a furious club statement demanding that he step down from his roles as LaLiga president and vice-president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
“It is intolerable and extraordinarily serious that the president of LaLiga has used a comparison with the propaganda methods of the Nazi regime to discredit our club, its management, and its television,” the statement read.

“Tebas’ repeated conduct demonstrates a lack of neutrality, respect, and impartiality incompatible with his institutional responsibilities. It is unacceptable that he even takes advantage of questions, information, or opinions from journalists unrelated to the club to direct his accusations at us, attributing to us actions of third parties for which we bear no responsibility.”
With the club launching an all-out institutional war against the league hierarchy, the fallout threatens to plunge Spanish football administration into a deep crisis.
