6th most wanted in Oriental Mindoro arrested


CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO, Philippines — Police arrested the province’s sixth most wanted person in an operation in Barangay Mina de Oro, Bongabong town, on Sunday night, Sept. 13.
The suspect was arrested at 7:08 p.m. by personnel of the Bongabong Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, 403rd Battalion Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Provincial Intelligence Team Oriental Mindoro, and Regional Intelligence Unit 4B.
Police said the operation was carried out pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued on July 11, 2024, by Regional Trial Court Branch 41 Presiding Judge Harry D. Jaminola in Pinamalayan.

The suspect faces a charge of arson under Presidential Decree No. 1613 in Criminal Case No. CR24-12559. The court did not recommend bail.
Police did not release the suspect’s name in their report.
Authorities said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights in a language or dialect he understood, in accordance with the Miranda doctrine and Republic Act No. 9745, or the Anti-Torture Act of 2009.
The suspect remains in the custody of the Bongabong MPS for documentation before being turned over to the court that issued the warrant for further proceedings. /cb
