Aerosmith Announce Comeback Shows with Loads of “Friends”

Aerosmith have announced a pair of comeback shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, set to take place October 29th and November 1st. Billed as “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends,” the concerts feature a ton of noteworthy performers joining the legendary rock band across the two gigs.
The concerts will mark the first full Aerosmith shows since the band retired from touring due to a vocal injury sustained by singer Steven Tyler in 2023 only a few days into their farewell tour. A rescheduled tour for 2024 was canceled before it began, with the band announcing that its touring days were over because of Tyler’s injury.
A Citi pre-sale starts Thursday, October 8th, at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster, with a general on-sale starting Saturday, October 10th, at 10 a.m. PT.
The “friends” joining Aerosmith at the Hollywood Bowl include Slash, Sammy Hagar, Jerry Cantrell, Heart, The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Marcus King, Mike Inez, Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Monahan, Steve Stevens, Sully Erna, Tom Morello, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed, Kenny Aronoff and more, with Don Was serving as musical director.
Judging from a new press photo of the band, the shows will also be the first with the full classic lineup in more than six years, as Joey Kramer is returning to the fold. The drummer has not performed with band since February 2020 amid health issues and legal disputes.
Since the band halted its farewell tour, Tyler has performed at a few benefit shows and awards ceremonies, as well as the “Back to the Beginning” concert, where his voice sounded very strong.
