Marvel Officially Announces Moon Knight: New Moon Rising

While it doesn't always work, Marvel can resurrect or kingmake practically any character. While we likely won't see a Paste-Pot-Pete movie anytime soon, I wouldn't put it past Marvel to eventually include the character in a cheeky cameo by a charismatic actor. It's never really out of the question how deep into Marvel lore the team will dig.

That's just what the Marvel team did with Moon Knight. A beloved character in his own right in the comic universe, Moon Knight eventually made the jump to multiple forms of media, including games. Here's all the info we know on Moon Knight: New Moon Rising.

Thanks to a new update on September 17, Marvel Rivals is getting a new lore drop focused on Moon Knight. It's called New Moon Rising and will add more information on the titular character, coupled with a new Eternity Knight cosmetic bundle. Jeff the Land Shark Jeff-Pool costume is in as well, along with a Rogue & Gambit X-Men '97 bundle.

You can also purchase gifts with Lattice currency now, and the price will adjust automatically based on the cosmetics you select, and the ones your friend owns. In other words, it's a bit more user-friendly and it should be easier to give gifts without doubling up on content someone already has.

As far as pure gameplay is concerned, there's only a small fix here for Deadpool: "Deadpool's Clone Conundrum: Fixed an issue in Clone Rumble where players were unable to switch Team-Ups when randomized as Deadpool. Wade got a little too attached, but we've untangled the Merc with a Mouth so he can swap his besties at will!"

A brand-new event is coming too, called Jeff's Dream Eater: "Rogue recently threw a totally radical pajama party! However, after the party wound down, Jeff fell into a terrifying nightmare. Guided by Mantis's telepathic expertise, the crew dove straight into Jeff's dream, only to discover a giant star suspended in the sky, surrounded by a chaotic flurry of bizarre thoughts. The heroes on the scene quickly split into two teams to investigate this psychic phenomenon."

It comes with some free rewards: "Complete the event to acquire Venom's President Ozzy costume and related bundle content for FREE! Unlock premium for Rogue's Slumber Sugah, Jeff the Land Shark's Shark in Sheep's Clothing, and more."

A lot is happening in Marvel Rivals, including this new Moon Knight lore drop. It's a decent time to get back into the game, as it's filled to the brim with new events and modes.
