KOTA KINABALU, Sept 11 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here at 8.16 am to chair the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting.

Anwar arrived with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in the same vehicle before entering the convention centre.

Also present were Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud.

Sabah is hosting the meeting, which was scheduled to begin at 8.30 am.

The MTPMA63 meeting is an important platform to discuss developments in the implementation of matters related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), particularly those involving the interests of Sabah and Sarawak.

Anwar is in Sabah for a two-day visit, which began yesterday, with several official programmes scheduled during his stay in the state. — Bernama
