Three male students held over death of Form Four girl
BATU PAHAT: Three 16-year-old male students were arrested yesterday to assist investigations into the death of a Form Four girl whose body was found in a school hall in Yong Peng here.
The three were detained several hours after the body of Irene Sofiya Mohd Khairool Faisal, 16, was discovered at about 5.30pm.
A source said one of the students is expected to be brought before the Batu Pahat Magistrate's Court this morning to seek a remand order.
The three are students at the same school as the victim.
Irene Sofiya's body was found by her grandmother, who had gone to the school after the girl failed to return home.
