St. Vincent Joined by Marc Ribot for One of the Coolest Late-Night Performances of the Year

Translate

St. Vincent staged one of the cooler late-night performances we’ve seen in some time on Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show. Revisiting “Smoking Section” from her 2017 album MASSEDUCTION, Annie Clark transformed The Tonight Show stage into an intimate, dimly lit cocktail lounge. Backed by Marc Ribot on guitar, Hannah Cohen, and a pair of upright bass players, Clark anchored the arrangement on steel guitar, lending new textures to the song’s already brooding smolder.

The episode also saw Clark join Fallon and fellow Tonight Show guests Billy Crystal and Joe Keery play a game of Password.
