A man shot dead at a pub in north London has been named, as police continue to hunt for the suspect.

Erdem Mustafa, 35, was killed at The Sun & Woolpack in Hertford Road, Enfield on Monday.

Met Police officers arrived at the venue alongside the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance, at around 9.30pm.

Mr Mustafa was treated for gunshot wounds, but was later pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Detectives have now renewed their appeal for information and released CCTV of a person they are keen to speak to.

The image shows a figure in a dark top and black gloves, pink trousers and trainers. They are wearing a purple hat and appear to have long, curly ginger hair.

Detectives are asking anyone who recognises the person to come forward, as well as anyone in the area at the time or with any footage which could assist their investigation.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding Erdem's death.

Officers gathered evidence at the scene of the shooting in Enfield, north London, on Tuesday

Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: 'Our thoughts remain with Erdem's loved ones following what is undoubtedly a tragic and senseless act that led to his death.

'We recognise local concerns following this incident and while detectives are keeping an open mind, we believe this to be a targeted attack.

'We are still urging those who have not yet come forward to do so if they have any information to share, or any CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage.

'No detail is too small, and we urge anyone who can help to contact us.'

Chief Superintendent Anna McCartney, who leads policing in the area, said: 'We continue to recognise the concern local people have after this incident and can reassure them that detectives are working at pace to find those responsible for Erdem's death.

'Extra officers remain in the area to offer further reassurance.

'Serious violence has no place in our community. The Met is committed to tackling gun crime, and we are determined to hold those who seek to do serious harm to account.'

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 7050/19OCT26, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
