Juventus supporters interrupt minute’s silence for Inter legend Mazzola

A minute’s silence for the legendary Sandro Mazzola ahead of the Serie A match between Juventus and Atalanta was interrupted by a small section of Bianconeri supporters, who turned their backs to the pitch and sang chants for a collection of Juve legends.
Minute’s silences are being held ahead of all Serie A matches this weekend following the death of Inter and Italy legend Mazzola at the age of 83 on Saturday.
However, certain members of Juve’s Curva Sud decided to turn their backs towards the pitch during the minute’s silence at the Allianz Stadium. There were also chants in memory of Juventus greats Gaetano Scirea, Andrea Fortunato and Gianni Agnelli.
The rest of the Allianz Stadium swiftly responded with a round of applause to drown out the chants from the Curva Sud.
Mazzola is widely considered as one of the greatest Italian footballers of all time, but is also remembered for his 17-year career with Juve’s biggest rivals, Inter. He scored 161 goals from 567 appearances across all competitions with the Nerazzurri between 1960 and 1977.
