Mjaka Mfine Reveals Why She Avoids Dating Public Figures
Kenyan content creator Mjaka Mfine has opened up about her dating life, revealing that she has never been romantically involved with a content creator or another well-known public figure.
Speaking during an interview with radio personality Alex Mwakideu, Mjaka said she deliberately keeps her romantic life away from the public eye and would rather date someone who is not constantly in the spotlight.
“I don’t think mimi nishai date content creator ama mtu anajulikana Kenya. Sitaki kujiweka kwa hio maisha. Huyu mwenye niko na yeye wacha abaki pahali ako. If you are a public figure, haiwezi,” she said.
Mjaka explains her preference
According to Mjaka, dating someone who is also a public figure can make it difficult to maintain privacy, particularly when both partners have sizeable audiences and their personal lives attract public attention.
She suggested that relationships involving public figures often come with additional scrutiny, making it harder for couples to enjoy their private lives without outside interference.
For that reason, Mjaka said she prefers keeping the identity of the person she is currently dating away from the limelight.
Her comments also appeared to reaffirm that she has not previously dated anyone who is widely known in Kenya.
What about Mokaya?
Mjaka’s remarks come amid past speculation linking her to fellow content creator Mokaya, who is also a familiar face in Kenya’s digital entertainment scene.
Their interactions have previously caught the attention of social media users, with some followers speculating that the two could have been more than friends.
Mjaka did not mention Mokaya by name during the interview, nor did she directly address the speculation surrounding their relationship.
However, her statement that she has never dated a content creator has prompted renewed curiosity among fans who have previously linked the two.
