Tributes to ‘kind, loving’ royal family GP after husband charged with her murder

The family of Hannah Cain, a GP to the royal family, who was allegedly murdered by her husband at home next to the Sandringham estate, have paid tribute to her as a “kind, generous and loving” mother, who took “great care” of her patients.
Mark Cain, 45, of Fern Hill, Dersingham, was arrested after Dr Cain’s body was found at her home in the early hours of Sunday.
When Cain appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, he was remanded in custody to appear at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday.

In a statement issued through Norfolk Police, Dr Cain’s family said: “We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hannah.
“She was kind, generous and loving; a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, daughter-in-law and friend.
“We are incredibly proud of the woman she was and of the great care she took of all her patients who knew her as Dr Terry.
“We would ask people to respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
Dr Cain, 45, who was known professionally as Dr Hannah Terry, was listed as a member of the practice team at Grimston Medical Centre in King’s Lynn, which has served the royals for years.
The doctor was on call for the royal family and had treated several senior figures, including Queen Camilla, when she stayed at Sandringham Estate, The Sun reported.
Sources told the newspaper that King Charles and Queen Camilla had been informed of her death.
The practice was closed on Monday and Tuesday due to “extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team”.
According to the website of a business Dr Cain ran called Norfolk Sky Aesthetics, she had been a qualified doctor for more than 15 years, and a GP for eight.
