PlayStation Plus has given us an early glimpse at what to expect for October 2026, even though it's only been a couple of weeks since September's Essential games arrived. This month, PS Plus users of any tier can snag Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes before the rollover on October 6.
Starting October 6, 2026, a new batch of PlayStation Plus games will arrive for Essential subscriptions and above. And while getting new games are great, PS Plus has also teased which games will be leaving the service once the new month arrives. According to the official PlayStation Blog, seven games have been confirmed to be leaving PS Plus in just a few weeks.
Games Leaving PS Plus In October 2026
The games leaving PlayStation Plus in October 2026 are:
- Death Squared
- Lake
- Jurassic World: Evolution 2
- Silent Hill 2
- Yakuza: Like A Dragon
- Gloomhaven
- Rogue Lords
The two biggest games on this list are obviously Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon. ScreenRant praised Silent Hill 2 has a surprisingly fresh take for a remake, and you can beat the game in around 15-20 hours, so you've still got plenty of time to experience what Silent Hill 2 has to offer before it leaves PS Plus next month.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon will take quite a bit longer — probably close to 100 hours to beat, so you'll have your work cut out for you to try to reach its ending before October arrives. Even if you don't like Yakuza games, Like A Dragon is a turn-based RPG that mixes typical elements from the series with clear Dragon Quest inspirations. As with Silent Hill 2, we had nothing but praise for Yakuza: Like A Dragon when it launched a few years ago.
Both of those games are sad losses for PS Plus, but if any of these games sound good to you, you've got some time left to play them. That doesn't mean they're gone forever, though. Games come and go on PlayStation Plus all the time. The new Essential games for October should be announced on September 30, with the games appearing on PS Plus the following Tuesday, October 6.
In the meantime, it's nice that PlayStation Plus has given us a heads up of which games are leaving in October. All of the above titles will be leaving in around three weeks, so that's still plenty of time to beat most of them.
