The Polokwane City and Kaizer Chiefs starting lineups have been confirmed ahead of their Betway Premiership clash on Saturday afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has named a strong starting XI as Amakhosi look to continue their momentum in the league.

WHAT IS THE KAIZER CHIEFS STARTING XI?

Kaizer Chiefs XI: Petersen, Frosler, Miguel, Moloisane, Cross, Mthethwa, Maboe, Ndlovu, Vilakazi, Ighodaro, Mmodi.

The lineup sees Reeve Frosler return at right back, while Bradley Cross starts on the opposite side. Inacio Miguel and Thabo Moloisane will form the central defensive pairing.

Further forward, Etiosa Ighodaro leads the attack, with Mfundo Vilakazi and Pule Mmodi supporting the attack.

WHAT IS THE POLOKWANE CITY STARTING XI?

Polokwane City XI: Masuluke, Manthosi, Nkaki, Ramaja, Modise, Kambala, Maphangule, Matube, Sebone, Dlamini, Molokwane.

Polokwane City will hope their starting XI can frustrate Kaizer Chiefs and produce a strong performance on home soil.

The two sides head into the clash in contrasting form. Polokwane City are looking to end a difficult run, while Kaizer Chiefs want to maintain their strong start and keep the pressure on the teams above them.

The Amakhosi sit third on the Betway Premiership log with three wins, two draws and no defeats from their opening five matches. Kaizer Chiefs also come into the game full of confidence after their thrilling 3-2 victory over Siwelele FC.

Meanwhile, Polokwane City occupy 11th place and have managed just one win from their first five league matches. Rise and Shine have, however, shown some resilience, picking up three draws during that run.

The confirmed teams set up an important Betway Premiership encounter, with both sides looking for maximum points.
