Obinna warns Mosiria not to think social media likes are votes
Beyond Mosiria’s situation, Obinna used the dispute to reflect on the temporary nature of power and influence, urging people in leadership positions to remain humble and avoid mistreating others.
He suggested that individuals holding powerful positions should remember that circumstances can change and that their current status does not guarantee permanent influence.
“Yani mtu anakutukana, you do not know the way some feel, ulinidiss ukifikiria hiyo office itakaa nothing in life is permanent; when you are in a position of power or influence, try and minimise the ego, attitude and pride,” he stated.
His remarks followed Sakaja’s decision to remove Mosiria from his position as Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement and Customer Service in administrative changes announced on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The changes were part of a reshuffle at City Hall, ending Mosiria’s tenure in the department.
Mosiria had previously declared his intention to challenge Sakaja for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.
Since his removal, the former county official has continued to share his frustrations publicly, including a sarcastic apology in which he suggested that working too hard and attracting recognition may have contributed to the breakdown of his relationship with the governor.
