Indian midfielder Jithin MS came off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner as NorthEast United beat Mohun Bagan Super Giant 1-0 in their Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 match here on Monday.
Bagan had pipped the Highlanders on penalties in the Durand Cup semifinal this season and the result could have settled some scored for Juan Pedro Benali’s side.
Bagan will travel to the national capital to face Sporting Club Delhi on October 16, while NorthEast United will host Kerala Blasters next, two days later.
