Therabody Drops Y2K-Inspired Massage Guns With the Help of Danielle Fishel

Tech has become boring. But there was a time back in the late Nineties and Oughts when gadgets were more fun. Led by Apple’s playful designs, brands were putting out retro-futuristic devices marked by colorful translucent plastic that was far more lively than the soulless matte black and metallic devices of today.

Now, however, Therabody is bringing back that colorful aesthetic with the release of a limited-edition Theragun Mini Y2K Collection. Launched with Danielle Fishel of Boy Meets World and, more recently, Dancing With The Stars season 34, the wellness brand dropped a collection of bright, fun massage guns made out of translucent candy-colored plastic. The limited collection includes Theragun Minis in five colors: Blue Raspberry, Grape Blast, Orange Crush, Strawberry Splash, and Green Apple. The new Y2K massage guns are re-skinned Theragun Mini 3rd Gen, Therabody’s portable, affordable version of its industry-defining percussion massage gun. Its compact design and light weight is ideal for traveling (an underrated time to use a massage gun), tossing in your gym bag, or any other on-the-go use case. The gun has three speed settings and a 150-minute battery life. It also includes three interchangeable heads for different massage types.

Plus, like all Theragun products, you get access to Coach on the Therabody app. This AI program helps guide you through recovery plans, and it even connects to fitness wearables for even more personalized guidance.

To help launch the Y2K collection, Therabody tapped Danielle Fishel, who’s fresh off a season of Dancing With The Stars. “In 1999 I was worried about butterfly clips, CDs, and whether my low rise jeans were low rise enough. Recovery was… not exactly on the list,” she wrote in an Instagram post announcing the partnership. “Cut to now and I’m very happy to revisit the Y2K era with a few modern upgrades. The limited edition Theragun Mini Y2K Collection has all the nostalgia in five translucent colorways, plus portable relief for everyday aches, pains and tension.”
