Scotland left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 10 lakh at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction in Kochi on Wednesday.

Gordon entered the auction at her base price of Rs. 10 lakh and attracted a bid from Delhi Capitals. Having represented England before switching allegiance to Scotland, she entered the auction under the Associate category.

The spinner made all five of her England T20I appearances at the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, including the final against Australia, which England lost by eight wickets in Antigua.

Gordon made an immediate impact on her T20I debut against Bangladesh, returning figures of three for 16. She also featured in one Test, taking three wickets in a drawn match against Australia at Taunton in 2019.
