BBC's Irish "Bonnie and Clyde-style" drama with Black Doves star confirms release date

The BBC has revealed when its new Irish drama Tall Tales & Murder will air in the UK, and those intrigued don't have long to wait.
The synopsis for the six-part comedic drama describes it as "a Bonnie and Clyde-style adventure of bent cops, kidnapping, underworld fixers (not to mention libido-enhancing horse medication bootleggers) and the dilemmas of unconventional heroes and villains with an 8th Century tall tale of monks, Vikings, buried treasure and a priceless holy book".
After premiering on RTÉ in Ireland a month ago, the show will air on BBC Northern Ireland on Monday, 2 November and BBC One in Great Britain on Tuesday, 3 November.

It'll also be dropping as a full box set on iPlayer, while future episodes will air once a week.
Led by Black Doves actor Ella Lily Hyland, the plot follows nursing home night shift worker Bridget as she meets Paul, a man indebted to a local criminal who takes up a job at the home to stay out of prison.
On their first shift together, a no-name patient wakes up and tells them that he's a famous gangster with a secret buried treasure.
It could be the solution to all of their problems, but of course they're not the only ones after it.

The rest of the cast includes newcomer Casey Walsh, Motherland's Philippa Dunne, Fair City's Brian Doherty, The Clinic's Aisling O'Sullivan, Peaky Blinders' Packy Lee, and Game of Thrones' Aidan Gillen.
The show was created by Stuart Carolan, known for Love/Hate, and Chris Addison, a familiar face on Mock the Week who also created the Martin Freeman show Breeders.
Tall Tales & Murder comes to BBC NI on 2 November and BBC One on 3 November.
