The India vs Syria AFC Under-17 Women’s Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers on Thursday was suspended due to an approaching thunderstorm.
India was leading 1-0 when the match was indefinitely suspended in the 55th minute because of averse weather conditions. India came into the game on the back of a 14-0 rout of Iraq in its opening game, its biggest ever win at this level.
Interestingly, lightning and thunder briefly halted proceedings for thirty minutes in that game as well, before the match resumed once conditions improved.
