Pakistan’s Razaullah made a stunning impact on his Test debut as he scored a quickfire fifty against England in the third match in Edgbaston on Friday.

The 21-year-old smoked eight sixes in the second innings to prevent an innings defeat for Pakistan. Earlier in the first innings, Razaullah had taken four wickets with his right-arm pace.

Only one player has hit more maximums on his Test debut – New Zealand’s Tim Southee, who carted nine sixes against England in 2008.

Most sixes on Test debut

Tim Southee (New Zealand) — 9 sixes vs England in Napier (22 Mar 2008)

Razaullah (Pakistan) — 8 sixes vs England in Birmingham (9 Sep 2026)

Kyle Mayers (West Indies) — 7 sixes vs Bangladesh in Chattogram (3 Feb 2021)

Gordon Greenidge (West Indies) — 5 sixes vs India in Bengaluru (22 Nov 1974)
